I don’t think I have ever seen a cyst be so difficult and unwilling to give up the pus as this one. Especially in an animal! Usually, with critters, that pus is just waiting to burst free in all its gushing glory. Human cysts? Just as we are, you can almost depend on a good percentage taking on the role of the petulant protuberance – sometimes I swear you can see a sebaceous cyst actually move to the side when the blade comes close!!

Perserverance, and lots of digging and squeezing on the part of both treating medics, wins out in the end. They finally force the cheese out of the incision and into the catch-all bucket. I’m sure that the sheep will be grateful… eventually. I guess it really all makes sense, though. Sheep are known to be stubborn, so why would one expect a sheep cyst to behave any differently? lol… :) The video is a bit dark, but the important subject matter is very visible, and there is nice laughter aplenty – ah… must be a Popologist on duty!!! Enjoy!
